Danielle Charbonneau
Artist
My love of art and nature affects the way I look at things and fuels my creativity. In 2015, I experienced a traumatic brain injury. After participating in years of different types of recovery therapy, I no longer look to doctors for answers, art and glass has become my therapy. I am, for the most part, a self-taught glass artist. As I was learning, practicing, making mistakes, and adapting, I created simple pieces for family and friends.
I have been attracted to glasswork since I was a child, inspired by church windows, my grandmother's cherished glass dishes passed down from generation to generation; only set out on special occasions, but deeply meaningful.
My work now draws on nature and the strength within each of us. Simple but never basic. My work is not just about creating beautiful objects, but also about creating connections and memories. I believe that art has the power to evoke emotions, inspire contemplation, and bring people together. Each piece I create is infused with love, passion, and a sense of wonder, inviting you to pause, reflect, and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.
I draw inspiration from nature and personal memories, showcasing the power of art and its ability to transport us to those special moments captured. It is a reminder of the fragility of life and the resilience that can emerge through creativity and self-expression.
I am grateful for the opportunity to share my art with others and continue growing and evolving as an artist. Through my journey with glass, I have found healing, purpose, and a renewed appreciation for the gift of life. I hope that my work can bring a sense of peace and positivity into your life, just as it has for me.
